- Remove existing Filter 4 media and dispose of offsite. - Demolish existing Filter 4 underdrain system. - Remove/relocate existing mechanical and electrical appurtenances on the influent and effluent gallery wall to enable structural repairs. - Complete structural through wall repairs at filter to gallery common wall. - Prepare surface via abrasive blasting at interior influent and effluent gallery walls to remove existing coatings and expose concrete cracks. - Repair concrete cracks in Filter 4 influent and effluent gallery common wall. - Install contraction joint repairs. - Repair/Replace existing epoxy coatings in Filter 4 after crack repairs are complete and the filter has been hydrotested. Replacement of existing coatings is included under Alternative Bid Item No. 1. - Alternative Bid Item No. 2: Install new underdrain system in Filter 4. - Alternative Bid Item No. 2: Install new filter media and underdrain in Filter 4. - Complete performance acceptance testing. After expiration of the time and date above first written, said sealed proposals will be opened to identify Proposer firms only and read according to State law in 505 E. Brown St, Wylie, TX 75098. It is the sole responsibility of the Proposer to ensure that his proposal is in the hands of the designated person before the time and date above first written. It shall be each Proposer's sole responsibility to inspect the site of the work regarding the local conditions under which the work is to be done. It shall be understood and agreed that all such factors have been thoroughly investigated and considered in the preparation of the proposal submitted.
