Engineer's Project No.: 20003676.00 Question Acceptance Deadline 10/07/2020 07:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No This Contract provides for Construction of the following Bid Schedules: Schedule A - Low Severity Crack Sealing (<3/4-inch Width) Crack Sealing of private roadways within the Castle Pines Metropolitan District Service Area. Estimated Quantities: 25,000 lbs. of Crack Seal Scope of Work: Sealing all cracks from 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch in width the entire length of the crack on all the streets within the District Boundary. Work includes cleaning all cracks with compressed air, sealing each crack with hot pour rubberized crack sealer, applying Glenzoil or sand aggregate sealant to sealed cracks to prevent tracking, and other associated work (i.e. traffic control). Crack sealing excludes any interface seams with curb and gutter. Contractor will determine their own sequence of roads to receive crack seal but will be required to lump these roads into common regions to be completed. Contractor must relay anticipated areas, roads to the District a minimum of 48 hours in advance such that the District can provide proper notification to residents in the affected areas. Schedule B - Alternative Work Items In Conjunction with the work noted above the District may award in part or in total the following alternative work items: Medium Severity Crack Sealing (3/4 Inch < Crack Width < 1 1/4 -Inch) 1) Estimated Quantities: 12,000 lbs. of Crack Seal. 2) Scope of Work: As noted above, with the inclusion of furnishing, and applying squeegee sand crack fill fin the lower portion of the crack. Full Depth Patching Full Depth Patching will repair several conditions throughout the District, High Severity Cracks (>1 1/4-Inch), High Severity Potholes (Deeper than 2-inches), Alligator Cracking, and Rutting. Areas to be removed and replaced will be designated by the District with the Contractor in advance of the work. Estimated Quantities: 1500 Syds of Asphalt Removal 525 Tons of Asphalt 250 Cyds of Subgrade Removal and Replacement Scope of Work Saw cut and removal of asphalt in designated areas, excavation, and removal of 6-inch depth of existing subgrade, import, placement, and compaction of new 6-inch depth base course, and asphalt paving of patch area. Contractor will determine their own sequence of areas to receive patching. Contractor must relay anticipated areas, to the District a minimum of 48 hours in advance such that the District can provide proper notification to residents in the affected areas. Low Severity Pothole Repair by Infrared Patching Low severity potholes would be potholes less than 2-inches in depth. Areas to receive Infrared repair will be designated by the District with the Contractor in advance of the work. It is anticipated that mobilization of the pavement restoration vehicle will be such that all designated work can be completed all at the same time. Estimated Quantities: 10 Locations (350 SF) Scope of Work Clean up of pothole area, utilize infrared heating unit to heat area continuously until surface can be worked with a rake to scarify the bituminous surface and add approximately 20% of new material.
