Salt Lake City Corporation (the City), is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide monthly pest and rodent control services for the City's Department of Airports (Airport). The Salt Lake City International Airport is comprised of multiple City owned facilities that include the South Valley Regional Airport, Tooele Valley Airport, office buildings, warehouses, maintenance shops, hangars, administration buildings, passenger boarding bridges, police, guard shacks, pump houses and other satellite facilities, several of which are leased to tenants. Individual leased facilities shall typically only require preventative exterior pest control services, interior services may be required only if included in the lease agreement between the tenant and the Airport Properties Division. Airport desires to contract with a pest control company to provide the required expertise to assess the current condition of the Airport facilities, develop and recommend a plan of approach for providing effective prevention and control services in a manner that will ensure the health and general wellbeing of the public and airport personnel with the least amount of impact to the traveling public. A wide variety of services from simple preventative spraying to a specialized program for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certified buildings are needed to address the unique requirements at each location. City shall have the right to extend this Agreement for an additional term of up to four (4) months by giving Contractor written notice at least ten (10) days before the expiration of the original term, provided, however, that City may terminate such additional term by giving Contractor at least five (5) days prior written notice of such termination. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received. Furthermore, the City shall have the right to waive any informality or technical defect in proposals received when in the best interest of the City.
