Renovation of an educational facility in Greensboro, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 96,000-square-foot, five-story above grade educational facility.
An existing space will be renovated for a new 3D metal printer in Cherry Hall on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University (NCA&T) in Greensboro, NC. The 3D printer has been purchased and is in the possession of NCA&T. Cherry Hall is an existing 5-story academic building including a ground floor and a mezzanine, having approximately 96,000 GSF. The project includes the addition of a new 100% OA packaged AHU along with all associated ductwork/diffusers. Select demolition will take place of existing, ductwork, diffuser, plumbing, two exhaust fans, a condensing unit and existing electrical. A single exhaust fan will replace the two removed on the roof. Electrical work will be performed including providing power and disconnects associated with the new mechanical equipment and fire suppression system, cleaning of existing light fixtures and providing power for the 3D printer. The State reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. **As of Nov. 19, 2020 project will rebid because not enough bidders. No new bid date and time yet.**
