Bid Documents may be examined at the office of DMR Architects, 777 Terrace Ave., 6th Floor, Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey 07604, during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24, the bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00 (the "Guarantee"), guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded to the bidder, the bidder shall enter into a contract and will furnish a performance bond or other form of security acceptable to the Board in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the contract. Failure of the Bidder to enter into such contract will result in a forfeit of the Guarantee as liquidated damages. Acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the Bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cashier's check. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964; with the requirements of P.L. 1975.C.17 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), Affirmative Action Program; with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 and all other applicable statutes, laws or regulations. All bids shall be stated in words and figures on bid forms provided. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1, et seq. pertaining to the Public School Contracts Law. Each bid shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Business Administrator, bearing the name and address of the bidder, upon which shall be designated, "Auditorium Renovations at Carteret High School Construction Bid.". The Carteret Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids or proposals and to waive any minor irregularities in any bid proposal if it is considered in the best interest of the Board to do so. No bid shall be deemed accepted or a Contract awarded until public adoption of the resolution to that effect by the Carteret Board of Education.
