Renovation of a museum in Carteret, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,883-square-foot, three-story above grade museum.
Question Deadline 02/23/2026 at 3:00 PM ET Requests for such interpretations, to be given consideration, should be received, in writing, directed to the Senior Designer, Mr. Anthony Civitella at acivitella@usaarchitects.com six business days before the bid opening. Sealed bids are requested for the Accessible Entrance and Rehabilitation at Blazing Star Cultural Center. The contract is for Overall Single Prime (General Construction, all work, Lump Sum, All Trades, All Inclusive). Bids must be submitted on the provided proposal sheets, enclosed in a sealed envelope with specific labeling, and include one original and four copies, plus a USB thumb drive with the completed bid package. All required documents and materials, as listed in the Proposal Checklist, must accompany the bid. Bidders can review and obtain bidding documents electronically by contacting the designated architect office. The project is subject to a pre-bid conference for review and clarifications, and addenda or clarifications may be communicated to bidders. The Borough reserves the right to hold bids for up to sixty days before awarding and may reject or permit the cure of minor deficiencies or irregularities. All bids must be accompanied by a bid guaranty of at least ten percent of the bid amount (not exceeding $20,000) in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. At submission, a Consent of Surety, power of attorney, and financial statement must be provided to guarantee performance and payment bonds in the full contract price. Upon award, performance, labor and material payment, and completion bonds (all at 100% of the contract) are required. Bidders must comply with New Jersey Public Contracts Law, the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Davis Bacon and Related Acts, and supply proof of Public Works Contractor Registration and valid Business Registration Certificates for themselves and listed subcontractors. Additional requirements include compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act, maintaining an active SAM registration with a Unique Entity ID, and adherence to all referenced statutes and regulations.
