Renovation of a water / sewer project in Reno, Nevada. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The work shall include the construction of a block building within an existing municipal water treatment plant to house five vertical turbine pumps that will comprise an effluent pumping station. The pump station will include installation approximately 145 feet of 36-inch diameter ductile iron piping and 88 feet of 18-inch pipe. The pumps will discharge to a common ductile iron pipe header within the building. The pumping system will include an air-over-water surge tank system. Construction will include all electrical cabinets, wiring, lights, motor starters and controls as well as HVAC. The work will include selective demolition of existing utility infrastructure, relocation and reconnection of utility lines. The work will include the construction of approximately 900 feet of 24-inch fully restrained ductile iron pipe. Project shall comply with state prevailing wage requirements. The Contractor will have 360 calendar days to complete the Work in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
