Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Watertown, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids. Each Bidder must deposit with its Bid, security in an amount and form subject to the conditions provided in the Contract Documents. Withdrawal of Bids will be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The work of this project shall be completed by the dates set forth in Section 011100 entitled "Summary of Work." Bidders will be able to visit the Site at the convenience of the Watertown City School District with a minimum of forty-eight hours prior notification to Mr. Jason Compo by telephone at 315.785.3770. Requests for interpretation, information or clarification (RFI) of the Contract Documents must be made in writing. Responses to RFIs will not be made over the telephone. Responses to RFIs will be advisory only and will not modify the Contract Documents. The Contract Documents stand as published except as modified by written Addenda before bid and Modifications after execution of the Agreement. Jefferson Street Syracuse, New York 13202 or e-mailed to Mr. Benedict's attention at jbenedict@kingarch.com Upon returning sets promptly and in re-usable condition to Plan and Print Systems, Inc. within 30 days after the date of the Bid opening, deposits will be refunded as follows: l. Any Bidder will be refunded his or her deposit in full. 2. All other persons receiving any or all the Contract Documents, including Subcontractors and Material Suppliers, will be refunded their deposit in full. The work shall commence immediately upon award of contracts (anticipated on 10/20/20). Work shall continue from this point on A shift until work is complete. The intent is to complete all work by November 2020 in order for the Districts athletes to begin using the pool for their Fall season. If this is not feasible, the District, Architect and successful contractor will further evaluate the schedule. Ultimately, all work shall be substantially complete by April 15, 2021 or earlier. The scope of work includes: The jets shall be removed and replaced completely, removal of the grout around the jet will have to be done on the pool side, and the plunge side. The replacement jet will have to be placed through the pool wall and then grouted back into place. A schedule 80 CPVC flange will be connected to the replacement jet, and then reconnection to the existing schedule 80 CPVC piping system located in the plunge.
