The scope of work at Dickinson Apartments includes new flooring at all first-floor common areas including the main lobby, corridor, community room, and laundry room and a new automatic entrance door. Corridors on each floor above the first floor will be bid as a deduct alternate. Work at Duffy Apartments Family Units includes drainage maintenance consisting of grading, drainage backfill and new piping along the sidewalk behind the family units. Location: Dickinson Apartments, 101 North Mill Street, Ridgway, Pennsylvania 15853 Duffy Apartments, 424 Water Street, Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania 15845 Separate bids will be received for Site Construction and General Construction. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashier's check payable to the Elk County Housing Authority in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The Elk County Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening without the consent of the Authority. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or age. In addition, the Contract will be under the requirements of Executive Order #11625 relative to new goals and timetables and Section III of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and where applicable.
