A cashier s check, a certified check or a Bid bond, payable to the Princeville Community Unit School District 326, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price, as a proposal guarantee, shall accompany each such bid. The work under this contract will consist of the removal and reconstruction of two concrete entrance staircases, selected areas of full depth pavement removal, pavement milling, and pavement patching, plus concrete pavement construction and hot mix asphalt overlays at the Princeville Grade School. Bids may be held for a period of up to sixty (60) days prior to making an award. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Contract Bond to the Princeville Community Unit School District 326 in an amount equal to the contract price. In accordance with 820/ILCS 130/3 and 130/5, this contract is subject to all of the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, is subject to the payment of prevailing wages and the Contractor is required to submit monthly certified payroll records. In accordance with Public Act 96-0635, effective 1/1/08, all Contractors and Subcontractors, performing any contractual public work subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, shall have in place a written Substance Abuse Prevention Program filed with the public body engaged in public works. The successful Contractor shall file the Substance Abuse Prevention Program (s), with the Princeville Community Unit School District 326, prior to award of the Contract. The Princeville Community Unit School District 326 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities in any or all bids.
