Kalwall replacement at Dodgertown Elementary School. This project consists of the removal of existing skylight features in building corridors, installation of new skylight features and all associated roof repairs per drawings. All projects are subject to funding and cannot be guaranteed. Bid bonds, when required, shall be submitted with the bid in the amount specified in Special Conditions. Bid bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. After award of contract, the Board will notify the successful bidder to submit a performance bond in the amount specified. Upon receipt of the performance bond, the bid bond will be returned to the successful bidder. Bid bond in the amount not less than 5% of the gross bid shall accompany each bid, with the understanding that bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid date. Bid security shall be made payable to the School District of Indian River County, and may be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company accepted to the owner. Bid bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder. Both bid and performance/payment bonds must be written through a reputable and responsible surety bonding agency, licensed to do business in the State of Florida and shall be issued in accordance with Ch. 624 F.S. Upon receipt of the performance/payment bond, the bid bond will be returned to the successful bidder.
