Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
*Work is complete. The proposed Structural Collapse Simulator is located within the CFD Training Facility at 5727 - 23 Avenue SE in southeast Calgary, Alberta. The site location is presented in Figures 1 and 2. At the time of the fieldwork, the project site was generally covered in snow and was being used to store equipment and/or for training activities. The project site was relatively flat, and the area had a very thin layer of gravel at the surface. Build resettable structural collapse simulator constructed of concrete pre-cast and poured in place concrete tunnels complete with resettable obstacles. Tunnel system is covered by concrete rubble and building debris simulating a building collapse providing Fire & CEMA Rescue teams a safe, challenging environment.
