Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Clinton, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of December 23,2020 the recommendation of award goes to Dayton Construction Company Inc. amount of $1,904,005.00. The project start date is on 4/1/2021 and will be completed on 10/25/2021. The project is subject to Federal and State prevailing wage rate requirements. The project consists of replacement of the existing bridge with prestressed concrete box beams supported by reinforced concrete abutments on drilled shafted foundation with associated roadway reconstruction and appurtenances. The Town of Clinton (Municipality) hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and that they will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, mental retardation or physical disability, including but not limited to blindness, in consideration for an award. A Surety Company Bond, on the form furnished by the Town, for at least 30 percent of the amount of the bid must accompany each proposal. A certified check will not be accepted. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids. As of December 23,2020 the Estimated Budget: $1,500,000-$3,000,000
