The City of Palo Alto ("City") is seeking a qualified firm to provide design-build services for the Downtown Automated Parking Guidance System ("Project"). The project consists of the design, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing and implementation, including furnishing all material, equipment, labor, and supervision of a new fully operational parking count and guidance system as specified in this Scope of Services and in the RFP specifications at the City parking structures listed below. The scope also includes digital wayfinding signage. This Project is comprehensive in nature and requires that the DBE furnishes and installs a complete and operational parking count and guidance system from INDECT (parking guidance system vendor) as standardized per Public Contract Code section 3400 (c) and Palo Alto Municipal Code section 2.30.900 (f). The City is relying on the DBE's experience and expertise to determine the best approaches to and options for designing and installing a system that will meet the City's objective of providing cost-efficient, reliable system for an effective parking count and guidance system as specified in this Scope of Services and in the RFP specifications, at the City parking structures listed herein. This Project must be completed within six (6) months after the City's issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). It is imperative that all design, permitting, procurement, preparation and planning is in accordance with this schedule. Any change to this schedule requires the City's written approval in accordance with the Design-Build Contract, a sample of which is provided as Attachment C to the RFP.
