It is the intent of the City of Philadelphia to make an award for Repair and Maintenance of Fire Medic Units for the Office of Fleet Management as specified herein during the contract period. CONTRACT TERM: Date of Award to One Year, with an option to renew for up to three (3) additional one (1) year periods, exercisable, at the City's sole discretion, as of the expiration of the Initial Term or the current Renewal term. The City may, at its sole discretion, renew the contract for up to three (3) months at the beginning of each renewal period(s), if a decision has been made not to renew the contract for an entire year. The City is not liable for the award involving following fiscal years' funds until such orders are issued. The obligation to deliver on such purchase orders shall not take effect until the orders are issued. To simplify the contract procedure, however, the successful seller(s) will be required to furnish an Individual Performance Bond or Performance Security Fee to cover units awarded to them. Questions must be received no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the scheduled opening date of the bid. The City reserves the right to only respond to those questions submitted prior to the stated deadline. The City will respond to questions it considers appropriate to this Bid Solicitation and of interest to all sellers, but reserves the right, in its discretion, not to respond to any question. The City reserves the right, in its discretion, to revise questions. No oral response to any seller question by any City employee or agent shall be binding on the City or in any way considered to be a commitment by the City.
