Demolition and site work for a residential development in Ogdensburg, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

The Work Consists of complete demolition of a damaged structure (approximately 941 sf) in compliance with Section 11.5 of Industrial Code Rule 56 and site restoration. The structure condemned and was previously a residential structure. Work to be as per the Scope of Work Summary and Technical Specifications in Part IV of the Project Manual. There will be no pre-bid walkthrough of the subject structure due to the condition. The City reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids if, in its opinion, the best interest of the City will thereby be promoted and to waive any informalities or defects in such bids before or after opening. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the date of the opening of bids. The City of Ogdensburg encourages Minority and Women-Owned Businesses to bid and/or subcontract in this project. BIDDER agrees that the will be substantially completed on or before December 21, 2020, and that all Work will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with paragraph 14.07.B of the General Conditions on or before December 30, 2020 1. Remove and properly dispose of all structures, trash, rubbish, floors, sidewalks, steps and driveways from the specified parcel. 2. Remove any fuel tanks, outdoor toilets and septic tanks, cisterns, meter pits, and plug, and plug any abandoned wells. 3. Remove all materials from the demolition site and dispose of them in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. 4. Remove and dispose of appliances and other items that may contain refrigerants in accordance with 40 CFR, Part 82. Appliances and other items that may contain refrigerants include, but are not limited to, refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers and portable or central air conditioners. 5. Remove and legally dispose of mercury-containing materials including fluorescent, high-pressure sodium, mercury vapor, metal halide light bulbs, and thermostats containing a liquid filled capsule. PCB-containing materials include capacitors, ballasts, and transformers where the component is contained within a metal jacket and does not have a specific, legible label stating no PCBs are present. 6. Abate and dispose of ACM per all applicable regulations prior to demolition. 7. Disconnect, cap and provide GPS coordinates for all utility services before demolition (coordinate with Ogdensburg Department of Public Works). 8. Perform site clearance, finish grading, final seeding and cover, and restoration. Note: Final grading requires approval from the City of Ogdensburg Code Enforcement Officer prior to the application of final seeding and/or hay. 9. Complete the demolition work in accordance with these specifications.
