Site work and paving for a road / highway in Tunis, Ontario. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Construction of the Cochrane By-Pass, an extension of Highway 652 to Highway 11 (new 2-lane highway, 4.5 km in length). The project will provide an alternate route for travelers and trucks moving goods and reducing traffic on municipal roads. The bypass is expected to divert a significant number of cars and trucks per day away from municipal roads. It will also improve safety and reduce travel times for families and truck drivers, while creating jobs in local communities. GWP 5220-16-00. TIMELINE: Stantec is completing preliminary engineering design & the environmental assessment study. The owner is continuing to collect information on the alignment alternatives. No timelines for construction have been determined at this time. Updates may be available late spring, 2026. Estimated Cost Range $25 to $100 million.
