Site work for a civil project in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of but is not limited to: Installation of approximately 800 ft. of direct-buried, pre- insulated, steam and condensate piping. Additionally, work includes the construction of two (2) new utility vaults on the south campus and reconstruction of steam vault located at the intersection of Tunnel T4 and T5 on the main campus; miscellaneous demolition; replacement of affected underground utilities; installation of electrical services to new utility vaults; steam and condensate piping system upgrades, and all associated site surface demolition, removal, and restoration work. Bids will be received for a stipulated sum contract. Each bid shall be submitted electronically through the documents provided at website with an uploaded copy of the bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of opening. The Board of Regents, State of lowa seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of lowa. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The participation goal of 10% is specified in the Special Conditions. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of lowa. The Board of Regents, State of lowa reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
