The University of Northern Iowa is seeking information from qualified suppliers to provide a Main Transformer for the UNI Power Plant described herein. Suppliers should read and completely understand the proposed Purchase Documents described herein. All proposals should be based on the requirements described here. Suppliers are cautioned to allow ample time for the submittal of RFP responses well before the due date time requirement. Bids must be submitted via the UNI-Bid system. Project Location: Work shall be performed under this Contract on the campus of University of Northern Iowa at the Power Plant, Cedar Falls, IA 50614. The University of Northern Iowa Includes a Central Power Plant Originally Constructed in 1980 And Operates One (1) 7.5 Mw Steam Turbine and Its Auxiliary Equipment and Systems. This Plant Represents the Primary Source of Heating for the Buildings on Campus, Including Athletic, Academic, and Administrative Facilities. The Power Plant Generates Electricity to Supplement Purchased Power for the Campus. The Power Plant Main Power Transformer Provides the Startup and Auxiliary Power for the Power Plant Operations. This Transformer Has Reached the End of Its Useful Life and is in Need of Replacement. A. Work as described in the Specifications includes engineering, fabrication, testing, and delivery of one (1) three-phase, 69/13.1kV, 10/14MVA oil-filled power transformer with Automatic Load Tap Changer on the secondary side. and services of Seller's Field Technical Advisor to the University of Northern Iowa Power Plant, Cedar Falls, IA 50614. B. The Seller shall furnish and include all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, coordination, and facilities necessary for the proper execution of the Power Plant Main Transformer replacement Project.
