Solicitation no- 10085 The project consists of expansion to the Lamar Dixon Expo Center Gymnasium. The expansion will be approximately 13,500 square feet and will include a full-size regulation basketball court with retractable goals and bleachers. The addition will be a pre-engineered metal building to match the existing gymnasium and site work. All Bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents on file at the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department, 615 E. Worthey Road, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his/her address, contractor's state license number and the name of the project for which the bid is submitted. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department, 615 E. Worthey, Gonzales, Louisiana (P.O. Box 2392, Gonzales, Louisiana 70707), mailed certified mail and must be received no later than the bid opening. Documents can be mailed to bidders with a provided shipping account number. No refunds will be made for returned drawings. Where bids are to be received on forms furnished by the awarding authority, no contract documents shall be issued to anyone except a Licensed Contractor or his authorized Representatives. In no event shall any documents for bidding be issued later than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the hour and date set for receiving bids. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Bid must accompany each Bid, and shall be made payable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. All questions regarding this project and the bid package shall be submitted to the Purchasing Department via purchasing@apgov.us by 5:00 PM on November 30, 2020. Responses will be coordinated with the Project Engineer and posted on online by 2:00 PM on December 2, 2020. The public entity advertising for bids for work shall require the bidders to attach a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for not more than five percent of the contract price of work to be done, as an evidence of good faith of the bidder. The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify and Bid, response to a Request for Qualifications Request for Proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana.
