The supplier shall provide crack sealant meeting the specification for NUVO CS Formulation C, as produced by Maxwell Products Incorporated. NUCO CS Formulation C is a hot polymer modified asphalt crack sealant. Sealant will be supplied in a solid state within a meltable container. The sealant shall be in a package that can be dumped directly into the hopper without the need to unwrap. To be clear, the wrapping on the sealant must melt in the hopper and be harmless to the machine dispensing the sealant. Material will be self-leveling at application temperature. Wherever in specifications the name of a certain brand, make, manufacturer, or definite specification is utilized, the specifications, shall state clearly that they are used only to denote the quality standard of product desired and that they do not restrict bidders to the specific brand, make, manufacturer, or specification named; that they are used only to set forth and convey to prospective bidders the general style, type, character, and quality of product desired; and that equivalent products will be acceptable. Bids will be accepted for a period of one (1) year to commence upon the date of approval. For questions related to the electronic bidding process, please call at (225) 810-4814.
