Renovation of a water / sewer project in Huntington Beach, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The work involves the installation of one new exhaust fan to replace an existing inaccessible exhaust fan currently located inside of the Pump Room, which cannot be accessed safely during maintenance staff at the Trickling Filter Sludge Pump Station at Plant 2. This includes electrical work for the new exhaust fan and a temporary ventilation system to be designed and installed during construction by the Contractor. All communications concerning this IFB must be in writing. Written questions regarding details of this IFB will be accepted (i.e., must be received) by OCSD until 5:00 P.M. (Pacific Time Zone), December 15, 2020. Written questions must be sent to the attention of Brandon Garcia, Contracts Administrator at Contracts, Purchasing & Materials Management Division of the Orange County Sanitation District at 10844 Ellis Avenue, Fountain Valley, California 92708 or by email at construction@ocsd.com. A Bid Security of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Total Amount of Bid will be required with each Bid and no Bid will be considered without it. The Bid Security may be in the form of cash, a cashier's or certified check payable to OCSD, or a Surety Bond issued by a qualified corporate Surety licensed to do business in California and must be submitted using the form included in the Bid Submittal Forms. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the Contract value are required concurrently with the execution of the Contract and shall remain in effect through the warranty period. The Performance Bond and the Payment Bond are to be executed in the name of the Surety insurer under penalty of perjury duly acknowledged before an officer authorized to take and certify acknowledgements and either one of the conditions listed in the Instructions to Bidders must be satisfied California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) Registration and Prevailing Rate of Wages: Bidders shall comply with the registration requirements of Labor Code section 1725.5. Pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.4, the Work is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. Bidders are hereby notified that, pursuant to provisions of the Labor Code of the State of California, the Board of Directors of the Orange County Sanitation District adopted the prevailing rate of per diem wages, as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations, applicable to the Work to be done for the locality in which the Work is to be performed, in compliance with section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, and it is on file in the Engineering Office located at Plant No. 1 of the Orange County Sanitation District. License Requirement: Each Bidder must be licensed in the State of California and qualified to perform the Work described in the IFB Documents. Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 3300, the CONTRACTOR must possess the following classification of Contractor's License: "A". All Bidders are required to comply with state, federal, and local laws applicable thereto and the directions in the IFB Documents. The Orange County Sanitation District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive or not to waive any or all irregularities.
