The 1st St Relief Sewer and Pipeline Rehabilitation Project located in Richmond, California consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools and services necessary to replace two existing operating underground sanitary sewer pipelines by open cut excavation. The project consists of approximately 3,743 lineal feet of open cut replacement of existing 6-inch sewer, approximately 1,696 lineal feet of open cut replacement of existing 8-inch sewer, approximately 631 lineal feet of open cut replacement of existing 10- inch sewer and approximately 125 lineal feet of open cut replacement of existing 18in sewer. The project also include pipe bursting of approximately 865 lineal feet of pipe ranging from 8-inch to 10-inch diameter and point repairs of approximately 392 lineal feet of existing sewer pipes ranging from 6-inch, 8-inch, and 18-inch in diameter. Work will include pre-construction sewer cleaning and NASSCO PACP video inspection of sewers, potholing and preservation of existing utilities, sheeting, shoring, and bracing of excavations, maintaining and bypassing of sewage flows, traffic control, sewer pipeline replacement, construction of new and modification of existing sanitary sewer manholes, reconnection of sewer laterals, backfilling and compaction, final cleaning, post construction NASSCO PACP video inspection of replaced sewers, replacement of pavement and markings, disposal of removed materials and spoils, quality control testing, and providing temporary facilities, according to project plans and specifications and the contract documents. All questions relative to this bid must be submitted via the electronic BidsOnline system on the Q&A tab by 2:00 pm PST, on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. If Veolia finds it necessary to issue an addendum, prospective bidders will receive e-mail notification of addendum. Otherwise, answers to questions received will be provided on the Q&A tab and notification will be sent by Thursday, December 31, 2020. It is the bidder's responsibility to periodically check the BidsOnline website, website for any possible Addenda to the bid that may have been posted. For assistance with downloading the bid, please contact Patrick McKenzie at Patrick_McKenzie@ci.richmond.ca.us Online Q&A: Dec 23, 2020 2:00 (Pacific) Veolia Water West Operating Services, Inc. reserves the right after opening bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any minor informality, irregularities, and/or bid non-responsiveness that does not influence the competitive nature of the bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and reject all other bids, as it may best serve the interest of Veolia Water and/or the City of Richmond. If a bid is accepted, it will be combined with other project costs (owner purchased equipment, construction management, etc) and presented to the City of Richmond for City Council approval. Although we believe that the City Council will approve this project, there is no guarantee of approval and this project proceeding. The bidder shall guarantee the Total Bid Price for a period of 90 Calendar days from the date of bid opening. Contractors bidding this project must have either a Class A or a C-34 license to bid this project as a Prime. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price payable to Veolia Water West Operating Services, Inc.
