The City of Lake Alfred is requesting sealed bids for a new sidewalk. This project is funded by a Community Development Block Grant. The City reserves the following rights: to waive informalities in any bid/proposal/quote; to reject any or all bids/proposals/quotes or portions of bids/proposals/quotes; to accept a bid/proposal/quote or portions of bids/proposals/quotes deemed to be in the best interest of the City; and to negotiate or refuse to negotiate with any offer. Starting at: Intersection of N Lake Shore Way & E Swoope St Lat: 28 5'49.76"N Long: 81 43'47.12"W Ending at Intersection of E Tangerine Ave & Lake Swoope Dr Lat: 28 5'57.16"N Long: 81 43'19.04"W Prepare ground, form and pour a new sidewalk between the intersection of N Lake Shore Way & E Swoope St and the intersection of E Tangerine Ave & Lake Swoope Dr. The sidewalk will be approximately 3,000 feet long, 5 feet wide and 4 inches thick using 3000psi concrete. Excess dirt/soil removed during the construction process of the new sidewalk can be dumped at an offsite location, just a few minutes away from the job site. Edges of sidewalk will be backfilled, but sod will not be required to be replaced along the edges of the new sidewalk. Project will be in City right-of-way and must adhere to ADA standards.
