The Town of Webster, Massachusetts invites sealed proposals from Contractors for the Phase 1A Exterior Cupola and Parapet Repairs project, Town of Webster, Massachusetts. The Town of Webster, Massachusetts invites sealed proposals from Contractors for the Phase 1A Exterior Cupola and Parapet Repairs project, Town of Webster, Massachusetts. The work includes but is not limited to repairs to EPDM roof and parapet including through-wall flashings, and wood repair and painting of the cupola. Each general bid, and each file sub-bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Webster in the amount of five percent (5%) of value of the bid. Bid deposits will be dealt with as provided in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 44B. To be given consideration, all bids must be accompanied by a copy of the Bidder's Certificate of Eligibility and an Update Statement. The General Bidder must be certified eligible in the DCAMM General Building Construction category. Bids shall be made on the basis of the Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, Pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive of Massachusetts General Laws, a copy of which is attached to and is made a part of the Contract. Bidders' selection procedures and contract award shall be in conformity with applicable statues of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Performance and Labor and Materials payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price will be required from the successful bidder. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it be in the public interest to do so, and to reject any sub-bid on any sub-trade if it determines that such sub-bid does not represent the sub-bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than three such sub-bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance without further competition.
