Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 209,896-square-foot, six-story above grade, 210-bed elderly care / assisted living facility.
Construction of 210 continuing care beds and 12 hospice/palliative beds. Amenities will include a bistro, a hair salon, a courtyard and rooftop terrace, a physiotherapy and rehabilitation area, a large multipurpose auditorium on the main floor, which will be shared with a local church and the general community. There are also plans to host a complex care, adult-day program within one of the large spaces. TIMELINE: Sub trades tenders are being issued by Graham Construction sequentially; documents will only be provided to the invited proponents. Construction is underway. The new facility is expected to be fully operational and have all of its residents moved in by late summer to early fall 2027. *Capital cost of the project is $113 million. Construction cost is unreleased.
