Plans call for construction of a new Strathcona County Museum and Archives' facility. TIMELINE: A feasibility study is being completed by the consultant. Timelines for design, tender and construction to be determined, pending owner's decision to proceed and capital funding approval. Further update may be available in 2026. *A functional planning study was completed by JM Gartly Design Studio Inc. in 2021. Cost for retrofit of the existing facility was estimated at $35.2M; and $45.2M for new construction.
