Renovation of a stadium in Pomona, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
The owner has determined a prequalified list of design build companies. The State of California, acting through the Board of Trustees of The California State University, hereinafter called Trustees, on behalf of San Diego State University, hereinafter called University, is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from interested and qualified Design-Builders (Respondents) to provide design, preconstruction and design-build construction services for the project. The delivery method for this Project will be the Design-Build process. During the Design Build process the University will issue a Design Build services agreement, under which the Design-Builder will: Complete the design process; develop a design and construction schedule; submit design to authority having jurisdiction, provide submittals and fabricate and deliver equipment, install equipment, and provide commissioning and training of new equipment. PAYMENT BOND 100.00% PERFORMANCE BOND 100.00% The scope of work in this RFQ is providing and installing new LED displays, signage and scoreboards in multiple SDSU athletic venues. The venues include are the new Aztec Stadium in Mission Valley, Viejas Arena, Tony Gwynn Stadium, SDSU Softball Stadium, Peterson Gym, and Aztec Tennis Center. As described below, the University intends to enter into a single Lump Sum Design Build construction agreement for the Aztec Stadium at Mission Valley, and the Arena and Venues on the main SDSU campus. Aztec Stadium- The scope of work for the under-construction Aztec Stadium includes providing and installing two (2) 10mm LED Video displays and two (2) 10mm LED ribbon displays. The displays will be installed onto structures provided by others. Viejas Arena- The scope of work for Viejas arena includes providing and installing a new center hung display consisting of 4mm LED displays. The new center hung will attach to the existing hoist (25,000 lb. capacity). An exterior 6mm LED ribbon display is also include and is to be installed over the primary entrance. Tony Gwynn Stadium- The scope of work for Tony Gwynn Stadium includes replacing an existing LED display and signage/scoring with a new 10mm LED display. The existing scoreboard structure will be re-used. SDSU Softball Stadium- The scope of work for the SDSU Softball Stadium includes replacing an existing LED display and signage/scoring with a new 10mm LED display. The existing scoreboard structure will be re-used. Peterson Gym-The scope of work for the Peterson Gym includes replacing an existing wall mounted LED display and signage/scoring with a new 10mm LED display. Aztec Tennis Center- The scope of work for the Aztec Center includes installing six (6) new single court tennis scoreboards. Installation of new steel poles, brackets and engineering required to install the scoreboards is included in this scope of work
