The project is located within the Cities of Chicago and Blue Island, Village of Alsip, Village of Evergreen Park and Village of Merrionette Park in Cook County and has a gross length of 29,634 feet (5.61 miles) and a net length of 17,937.7 feet (3.4 miles). This is a standard overlay project and the work to be performed under this contract consists of Class C and D pavement patching, pavement removal, median removal, placement of hot-mix asphalt binder course, placement of hot-mix asphalt surface course, combination concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, structure adjustments and drainage structure cleaning, sidewalk removal, sidewalk installation, detector loop replacement, traffic signal modernization, placement of thermoplastic pavement markings, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the improvement as shown on the plans and as described herein.
