As of June 13, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a bid bond in a form acceptable to the school board, cashiers check, or certified check made payable to the Owner in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract shall be entered into and the performance of the contract is properly secured. The successful Bidder of the construction of the improvement will be required to file a performance and payment bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract, with sureties to be approved by the Architect, which performance bonds shall be conditioned upon proper and faithful performance by the Contractor of the work specified in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore, according to the time and terms and conditions of the contract: and also that the successful Bidder, now the Contractor, shall properly pay all debts incurred by the Contractor in the execution of the work, including those for labor and material furnished for himself and all of his subcontractors. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of School District 144 for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing bids. Unload trucks as required. D. Provide all labor for a complete Playground Equipment installation. Excavated materials to be hauled offsite. E. Provide all labor and material for a complete playground surface installation. F. Provide all concrete equipment bases. G. Provide compacted stone base. H. Verification of utilities locations. Excavate around and protect any utilities that are exposed as part of this work. Contractor to include cost for private utility locates. I. Furnish and install all site concrete work as shown on the Drawings and as specified. J. Stripping of topsoil, grass, as indicated on drawings AND as required for new construction. All materials removed by this contractor shall be hauled off-site and disposed of by this contractor. K. Excavating for curbs, walks, and stone. L. Spoils are to be hauled offsite and disposed of by this contractor. ii. Vehicle traffic will not be allowed in grassy areas. c. Cleaning of roads, walkways, and landscape areas of mud, spoils, and concrete during the installation process. d. Repair any areas damaged during the installation process. e. Location of reference points and building lines and provide lay-out as required to complete the work under this bid package. Approximate start of construction shall be: May 13, 2024 for construction activity Substantial completion of all work shall be by July 31, 2024 The Contractor shall be required to furnish sufficient insurance or guaranty of indemnity to School District 144 against any and all claims which might arise for damages to persons or property due to the negligence of the Contractor or Subcontractors, or their officers, agents, employees or servants, during the construction of said improvement and until the said improvement has been finally accepted as complete by the School District 144.
