The Killeen Independent School District is hereby requesting Competitive Sealed Proposals (CSP) for HVAC Lifecycle Replacement at Venable Village Elementary School and Eastern Hills Middle School cafeteria. The project involves the removal and replacement of existing HVAC systems, Energy Management Control System, and all other work identified on the contract drawings at both the Venable Village Elementary School and Eastern Hills Middle School. All questions regarding clarification or interpretation of this RFCSP will be submitted in writing by the Proposer and must be received by 2:00 p.m. on January 11, 2021. Please submit any inquiries to this RFCSP to online or by emailing Kasey Modde at Kasey.Modde@killeenisd.org. A Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check payable to the Killeen ISD, for no less than 5% of the largest possible total for the proposal submitted. Performance and Payment Bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the construction cost will be required prior to beginning the work. Actual construction on the Project can begin on May 28, 2021. The substantial completion date for all work is August 2, 2021. Furthermore, Contractor has 14 calendar days from the established Substantial Completion Date to complete all punch-list items and 28 calendar days from the established Substantial Completion Date to submit all required closeout documents. Failure to complete the punch out work and submit all closeout documents as set forth in the time frame described will result in the assessment by the Owner of liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per day that is required by the Contractor to close out the project after the allotted time. The District reserves the right to waive any formality and to reject any or all proposals.
