Renovation of a water / sewer project in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Work shall be performed, and all construction and materials used and furnished shall be in accordance with the description of work provided as follows: Installation of a 4" high pressure, potable water pump, motor combo, capable of pumping a minimum of 1,000 gallons per minute, on a variable speed drive, pressure operated, 110 peak psi. It is up to the bidder to properly size the pump for the application (Feet of Head), installation of all wiring, VFD, and disconnect, and controls (Hand /Off /Auto). The successful bidder shall provide the wiring and control system programming to integrate the existing distribution chlorine feed pump and distribution flow meter. The control system shall include a chlorine feed pump hand, off, auto switch. The hand position shall turn the chlorine feed pump on and operate the pump at a speed that is set at the pump regardless of distribution pump operation or flow rate indication. The auto position shall turn the pump on and off when a distribution pump is operated and when a positive distribution flow is indicated the auto position shall also automatically reduce or increase the chlorine feed rate proportional to the distribution flow rate. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside, the name of the bidder, his/her address, and the name of the project for which the bid is submitted. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed as specified in the bid form. All blank spaces for bid prices must be completed in ink, or typewritten and in both words and figures. Bids received more than ninety-six (96) hours, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, before the time set for opening of bids, as well as bids received after the time set for receipt of bids, WILL NOT be considered and will be RETURNED UNOPENED. A cashier's check, a certified check, or a surety bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany the sealed proposal of each bidder. Deposits will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Each bid submitted is a legal offer and when accepted by the City, constitutes a FIRM AND BINDING CONTRACT. The City reserves the right to REJECT ANY or ALL BIDS. The Pawhuska Public Works Authority reserves the unconditional right to cancel all or any portion of this project within thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of the bids, for any reason and at its sole discretion.
