Counties:Broward, Miami-dade, Palm Beach, Turnpike Road Name: Landscape Maintenance - Zone 1 Limits: Midpoint Project(s): 19284317214(*) Federal Aid No: N/A Total Roadway Length: 0.000 Miles Contract Days: 365 Total Bridge Length: 0.000 Miles Total Proposal Length: 0.000 Miles Contract Execution Days: 10 Special Start Date: N/A Aquis/Flexible Start Time: 14 The work specified in this contract consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to trim or prune trees and vegetation, landscape maintenance of palms, trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses and ground cover, fertilizer application, chemical insect/disease control, weeding, herbicide application, mulching, including litter removal, at various locations on the Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike, Milepost (MP) 0.0 to 46.5, Sawgrass Expressway, MP 0.0 to 22.5, and Florida's Turnpike, MP 0.0X to 100.0 Prior to beginning work under this Contract, the Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for approval, two copies of the Contractor's proposed plan and methods for performing the work, including a listing of equipment and personnel anticipated for use. No U-turns shall be permitted as a condition of this Contract, except at Service Plazas. No Pre-bid Conference Will Be Held for This Project. Contractor Experience Documentation: Expertise and Experience Is Required in the Performance of Landscaping. The Experience in Landscaping Form (850-070-09) Must Be Filled Out and Submitted With the Bid to Be Reviewed by the Department. If a Contractor Is Presently Prequalified With the Department in Landscaping, It Is Not Necessary to Submit the Form. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00 A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects.
