Site work and paving for a civil project in Keene, New Hampshire. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The City is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms for the design of repairs and slope stabilization improvements for Thompson Road. Thompson Road, located in the Southeast corner of Keene, is constructed on a steep fill embankment overlying glacial till. In the fall of 2019, the City observed unusual settlement and crack along the edge of the paved roadway. Preliminary geotechnical investigations determined that the embankment had a factor of safety for slope stability of 1.0. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
