As of April 28, 2025, an engineer has been selected. Right of Way is in process and design is at 90% plans. It is anticipated bidding will commence in summer 2026 with construction following in 2026. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. A detailed scope has not been released. This project will construct an 8-foot sidewalk, 4-foot furnishing zone, and curb/gutter along the east side of Dickerson Pike with ADA ramps, markings, and an improved and more visible crossing at Gatewood Avenue. The new sidewalk will run from the intersection of Douglas Avenue to Trinity Lane. This project will extend the existing sidewalk infrastructure, which currently ends at Douglas Avenue. This project is federally funded, locally managed and is monitored by the TDOT Local Programs Development Office.
