Paving for a road / highway in Providence, Virginia. Design plans call for paving for a road / highway.
Plans call to provide approximately three miles of bikeway, extending from Fairfax County Parkway near Telegraph Road to the south side of the Franconia Springfield Metrorail Station. The southern segment could include an on-road facility on Cinder. As of December 15, 2022, right-of-way has commenced. An engineer has been selected for the project. Although a firm timeline has not been established, bid/ construction is not anticipated until at least 2024.
