The principle work to be performed under this contract consists of, but not limited to the following: Furnish and construct a 500,000-gallon multi-leg steel elevated potable water storage tank including the installation in reservoir tank mixing unit. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on the lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: B & B Consultants, Inc., 212 East Ferrell Street, South Hill, VA 23970. The contact person is Randy Jones, 434-447-7621, rjones@bandbcons.com. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:15 am -5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $150.00 per set, payable to "B & B Consultants, Inc.", non-refundable. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither the County nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions for Bidders. A performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Evidence of proper registration with the Virginia State Registration Board of Contractors, pursuant to Chapter 7 of Title 54 of the Code of Virginia, must be submitted with each bid.
