Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Lake Cowichan, British Columbia. Working plans call for the construction of a 80-acre industrial development; office development; hospitality development; and retail development.
Proposed construction of a film studio on an 85-acre Malahat Nation land parcel in the Cowichan Valley Regional District. Plans include six world-class sound stages, a backlot, industrial park, offices, workshops, a technical academy for apprenticeships and skills-transfer training, a shopping village, hotel, and state of the art media centre. Phase 1 Construction: Will include two double sound stages, a workshop building, and two production offices. TIMELINE: Project is on hold by the owner. Feasibility study stage is underway. Phase 1 completion: Estimated between late 2026 and 2027. An update may be available in spring, 2026.
