Renovation of a residential development in Millis, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 16,500-square-foot residential development.

Removal and replacement of existing roof shingles, new flashing at masonry cheek walls, replacement of soffit and fascia boards with rot-resistant material, new soffit, and continuous ridge vents, replace all gutters and downspouts, replace rake boards as required with rot-resistant material. Roughly 16,500 SF of roof area across 4 buildings, with rake boards in various states of decay. Existing ridge and soffit vents do not meet current code standards and are clogged with layers of paintto be replaced throughout. Roof has been tested for asbestos and none was found. All work to be performed on the exterior of the building. No work shall be performed from the interior of the building due to the COVID-19 risk to residents and contractor General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, Roofing, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General Bid Deadline 1/13/21 Time 2:00 P.M. The Project consists of: Removal and replacement of existing roof shingles, new flashing at masonry cheek walls, replacement of soffit and fascia boards with rotresistant material, new soffit, and continuous ridge vents, replace all gutters and downspouts, add insulation baffles, replace rake boards as required with rot-resistant material. Roughly 16,500 SF of roof area across 4 buildings, with rake boards in various states of decay. Existing ridge and soffit vents do not meet current code standards and are clogged with layers of paint--to be replaced throughout. Roof has been tested for asbestos and none was found. Additional attic insulation to be coordinated with the work, but is not in the scope of this contract. All work to be performed on the exterior of the building, if attic access is required it shall be done through creating temporary roof hatches from the exterior. No work shall be performed from the interior of the buildingdue to the COVID-19 risk to residents and contractors. Site walkthrough will meet outside of the main office in the parking area and will walk the premises from the exterior of the buildings.
