Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Atlanta, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
A Performance and Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract will be required. A Bid Security of 5% of the Bid is required with the proposal. The Contractor and sub-contractor are required to pay the Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor for Logan, McLean, and Tazewell counties for all work per IllinoisLaw. It is the policy of Olympia Community School District #16 to provide equal opportunity to all qualified business in the awarding of contracts and accordingly promotes the utilization of diversified businesses to the maximum extent feasible in any contract issued against this solicitation to bid. Olympia Community Unit School District No. 16 is exempt from paying sales tax. Bid security in the form of Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to Olympia Community Unit School District No. 16, equal to 5% of the Base Bid is required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive irregularities in the bidding procedure, or accept the Bid that in its opinion will serve its best interest. Any such decision shall be considered final. The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a Contractor who, in the Owner's opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project. This Contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the current "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus amount for fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. The Department revises the prevailing wage rates and the contractor/subcontractor has an obligation to check the Department's web site for revisions to prevailing wage rates. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website. All contractors and sub-contractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. The bidder shall have a written sexual harassment policy in place in full compliance with Section 2-105 of the Illinois Human Rights Act. Bidding Documents will be available for review at the offices of Dewberry Architects Inc., and City Blue Technologies' electronically Any comments or questions must be submitted to the Architect/Engineer no later than December 15, 2020, by 1 p.m. local time. Any clarifications or revisions to the construction documents will be issued by the Architect/Engineer in the form of an Addendum
