The project includes construction of a new, 35,000 SF (pre-engineered metal building), District Office and Production Kitchen Facility, for the Rock Island-Milan School District. Sales Tax: The project is sales tax exempt. IMPACT Agreement: The project includes an IMPACT Labor Agreement. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash, in an amount equal to 10 percent of the base bid amount, shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Board of Education - Rock Island - Milan School District 41. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wage by all Contractors working on public works. Bidder must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the District.
