Scope of Work: Landscape Wall (Detail 3, Sheet C7.1) Wooden Header (Detail 4, Sheet C7.1) Mulches (wood products, aggregates) The work performed in connection with landscaping shall conform to the provisions in Section 20, Erosion Control and Highway Planting, of the Standard Specifications and as directed by the Engineer. Project Description The project generally consists of improving approximately 5,875 linear feet of Casa Buena Drive to create continuous bike lanes and sidewalks, and to improve existing pavement conditions. Based on review of preliminary (60% CD) plans1, we understand that the new typical cross-section will include a 13- to 15-foot wide northbound travel lane with Class III Bike Lane, an 11-foot wide southbound travel lane, a 5-foot wide southbound bike lane, an 8-foot wide curbside parking lane and a 5.5-foot wide sidewalk on the southbound side throughout the majority of the project area. Locally, the road will be widened to accommodate the new improvements, and new retaining walls will be required on the west side of the road. We understand that CMU retaining walls will likely be constructed per the Marin County Uniform Construction Standards, but that slightly taller walls may require specific design. Ancillary improvements are expected to include new striping, signage, local drainage improvements, and other minor items.
