Bids are requested for resurfacing of approximately 12.55 miles/20 ft. wide of 6 roads in various locations in the county. Contractor will be given a 14 day notice to proceed. Resurface with 1 1/2" (165# sq. yd.) compacted 9.5mm "F" mix. Apply tack coat between existing surface and topping. Stripe with solid white line on edge and solid/skip double yellow line in the center and a 24" stop bar at the end of each road. "High Build Paint" per GDOT specification "652 - Painting Traffic Stripe" is to be used. Edge lines to be painted after county forces build up shoulders. A certification from the striping contractor verifying material and placement specifications will be required. The county will place "Low Shoulder" signs. The contractor is responsible for placing advanced warning signs. All work is to be completed by October 31, 2021. All traffic control devices shall meet the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control. All other work shall meet GDOT Specifications. The attached Quality Control Program shall be used to assure that all materials and completed construction required by this contract conform to contract plans, technical specifications and other requirements. Tattnall County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Contractor must be authorized to use and uses the federal work authorization program commonly known as E-Verify, or any subsequent replacement program, in accordance with the applicable provisions and deadlines established in O.C.G.A. 13-10-91. Contractor must supply their E-Verify number with their bid, along with workers comp and liability insurance verification. If bond is not posted, a one year written guarantee will be required.
