Renovation of a transportation facility in Grant Vlkria, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
**As of February 24, 2021, project has not been awarded. Brevard County Purchasing Services, on behalf of Valkaria Airport, is soliciting Invitations to Bid for the performance of security improvements at Valkaria Airport. The security improvements project involves providing a new Video Management System (VMS) and Physical Access Control System at the Valkaria Airport. The VMS system is to include new cameras and new Networked Video recorder for video play back. The installation of the PACS system is to include new server,computer workstations, locking hardware, card readers, and required peripheral devices. The proposed VMS and PACS system for this project are to be non-proprietary systems with open integrations with each other. Project includes new communications to the (2) existing slide gates via Ubiquity long haul Wi-Fi antennas using building and pole mounted antennas. New network cabinet dedicated to the security system is to be provided for mounting of new security system servers, switches, and patch panels. Insurance Required: Yes Bid Bond Required :Yes A. The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to, the furnishing and installation of all, access control system components, devices and equipment, connectivity to all door hardware, client work stations, cabling, conduits, and all appurtenances as required to meet the design and performance requirements as indicated on the contract drawings and/or as herein specified. B. The Contractor shall provide the necessary integration of all door hardware, fire alarm systems, duress buttons, surveillance system cameras, as well as all system programming and training required to provide a fully operating system as indicated on the contract drawings and/or as herein specified. C. The PACS shall communicate with all network servers, intelligent door controllers, and client workstations residing on the access control systems network by LAN connections utilizing standard TCP/IP communications protocols. D. The PACS shall be capable for supporting a minimum of 500 credentialed users. E. The PACS shall be a distributed system using either single or multi-door controllers. In the event of communication loss with the server the door controllers shall remain functional. F. New card reader to be compatible with 125KHz proximity cards and 13.56 MHz smart cards. New cards reader to communicate to door controllers via Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP). G. Coordinate the interface to life safety systems with the appropriate trades. Electronic locks shall not inhibit egress of a code identified means of egress pathway in the event of any emergency. Any modifications required to the fire alarms control system shall be coordinated with OWNER. OWNER shall be responsible for coordinating with their Fire Alarm provider for any required modification to their existing Fire Alarm System. H. The programming at the access control network servers shall make the final determination of access granted and denials. All system output programs assigned via control-by-event interlock programming to be activated by valid access indication shall be executed, and the associated system outputs shall be activated.
