Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Nederland, Texas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The Project generally consists of the removal and replacement of canal crossings at the aforementioned streets in Nederland, Texas. Existing crossings at 20th, 18th, 17th, and Fairbanks streets will be replaced with prestressed concrete slab span bridges. The crossing at Canal Ave. will be replaced with fiberglass reinforced polymer mortar pipe. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive or alternate bid items only as indicated in the Bid Form. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of fivepercent (5%) of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 and 6.02 of the General Conditions. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. The Work will be substantially completed within 395 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 440 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids.
