Ermineskin Cree Nation is seeking bids from General Contractors interested in upgrading a Waste Transfer Station in its community. Ermineskin Cree Nation is located south of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, just south of Edmonton. Funding for this project will be provided by Indigenous Services Canada. The Project Management Team (PMT) includes representatives of the Owner (Ermineskin Cree Nation), the funding agency (Indigenous Services Canada) and the Consultant (GHD). The project involves the renovation of a waste transfer station in Maskwacis, Alberta. Development of the Site includes general civil works for drop-off areas, lock blocks for delineation of material drop-off, and supply and construction of Site structures. The Works includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Project startup including mobilization to the Site. 2. Development, implementation, and maintenance of a Site-specific Health and Safety Plan. 3. Site preparation and earthworks. 4. Supply, placement and compaction of fill materials, where required. 5. Supply and placement of precast concrete lock-blocks. 6. Supply and construction of cast-in-place concrete slabs (slab-on-grade) and foundations. 7. Design, supply and placement of pre-fabricated building for equipment garage. 8. Design, supply and placement of pre-fabricated building for storage of Household Hazardous Waste. 9. Design, supply and placement of pre-fabricated site office building. 10. Demobilization and closeout.
