Site work for a water / sewer project in Cleveland, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed Bids for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and necessary appurtenances for the construction of the Prospect Area 2019 Annexation . Contractor is fully responsible for making sure sealed bid is delivered to Cleveland Utilities by the closing date and time. The project consists of the installation of approximately 3,535+/- LF of new PVC/Ductile Iron gravity sewer line ranging from 8 to 15-inches in diameter by the open-cut method and 385+/- LF of new 12-inch-diameter Ductile Iron gravity sewer line (along with 24-inch-diameter steel casing pipe) under Interstate I-75 by the jack and bore method. The new gravity sewer line will extend from a segment of the existing 24-inch-diameter Candies Creek sanitary sewer interceptor located in Fletcher Park east of Interstate I-75 and will extend to just north of Hensley Road NW located on the west side of Interstate I-75 in Bradley County, Tennessee. The project also includes the installation of 16 new sewer manholes and associated appurtenances, 2 wetland area crossings, a colonial pipeline crossing, and 3 creek crossings. All bidders must be licensed Contractors in compliance with all requirements of the State of Tennessee Contractors Licensing Act. The allotted time for construction is to be 120 consecutive calendar days. It is the policy of Cleveland Utilities to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; 49 CFR, Part 21; related statues and regulations to that end that no person shall be excluded from participation in or be denied benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance or any other funding source on the grounds of race, color, sex, national origin, or ancestry. By virtue of submitting a response to this solicitation, bidders agree to comply with the same non-discrimination policy. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids. The Cleveland Utilities reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and all bids.
