Renovation of an educational facility in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The University proposes to engage the services of a Security Access Control System Contractor (the Proponent) to replace the existing Central Access Control System (CACS) at Queen's University. The existing operating system is Picture Perfect Version 4.6, and controls approximately 135 micros, controlling 1223 doors (including elevators), of which 921 are card reader-controlled doors. Equipment is displaced over 61 campus buildings within the Kingston campus. The Proponent will provide the hardware and software to complete a system wide replacement including the migration of system data to the new platform. Work will rely on reusing existing cabling, power supplies, relays, fire alarm connections, etc. Please refer to additional files attached separately for: Existing CACS System Demographics describing system controllers, doors, readers, input and outputs. NOTE: Completion of supplier NDA form is required before access will be available to selected files. Work is expected to begin following contract award, with the completion of the system replacement within four (4) months. The project will also include the establishment of a service agreement for up to two (2) years of system preventative maintenance and remedial services, with an option to extend for two (2) additional periods of three (3) years each.
