Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid. A Contract Performance Bond and a Contract Payment Bond each equal to 100 percent of the Contract Price will be required for the successful Contractor. The successful bidder shall commence work with adequate force and equipment on a date to be specified in a written order of the Owner and shall complete work within the time prescribed in the contract documents. The Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport Commission, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
