Hyde Park City is seeking two qualified contractors for their Culinary Water Improvement Project. The Hyde Park Culinary Water Project consists of two main parts as follows. 2.0 MG Concrete Water Tank The new water tank will be constructed in Hyde Park Canyon and will include connecting the necessary appurtenances and piping distribution, transmission, and overflow lines within the fence boundaries. The contractor shall be responsible for all excavation, earthwork, and final grading of the tank site. The contractor will also be responsible for a nearby meter vault within the tank fence boundaries. Hyde Park City prefers to construct a prestressed AWWA D115 type water tank but will also bid a conventional reinforced tank option for budget considerations. Contractors must be prequalified by experience for their bid to be accepted. Contractors are to provide their references and documentation for previous jobs of at least one AWWA D115 water tank and at least two 1.0 MG or bigger conventional concrete culinary water tanks. Contractors may bid to construct either of the tanks if they have the prequalified experience for only one of the respective tanks. Pipeline, Booster Pump Station, and PRV Vault The new pipeline will be installed to connect Hyde Park City's existing 1.0 MG Longhill (SV) Tank, the new 2.0 MG Hyde Park Canyon Tank, and the existing 0.5 MG Greystone Tank. The pipe will be placed in approximately 2.3 miles of new trench along existing dirt access roads and ATV trails, underneath the existing powerlines, and in previous undeveloped areas. The new pipe will include air/vacuum release valves, isolation gate valves, one PRV vault, and other necessary fittings and appurtenances shown in the drawings. A new pump house will be built at the Greystone Tank site with the approximate dimensions of 25 ft by 27 ft with two new 100 HP in-line booster pumps. An existing chlorine building at the Longhill Tank will be retrofitted to treat the new tank's water. Last day for questions will be February 12, 2021 at 5:00 PM.
